Cecilia Omole
Cecilia Omole is an experienced public policy leader who has built her career working in and outside of the Canadian government. She has held roles at Employment and Social Development Canada, Cabinet Office (Ontario), Treasury Board Secretariat (Ontario) and the Ontario Ministry of Health, among others. During her career she has led files such as the Canada-Ontario Emergency Treatment Fund Bilateral Agreement, and authored two reports on National Pharmacare for the Council of the Federation. She has also appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities in Parliament on behalf of the Insurance Bureau of Canada.
Beyond her professional endeavours, she is deeply committed to giving back to her community and making a meaningful difference in the world around her. Cecilia has served as a mentor for the African Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship Program and actively volunteers with organizations such as the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International), BPW Canada, W7 (Women7) and United Nations agencies. She is the Vice President of Public Affairs for BPW Ontario and is also a member of both the finance and executive committees for the Toronto Dance Theatre’s board of directors.
Cecilia holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Concentration in International Political Economy and a Minor in French from Carleton University in Ottawa, and a Master of Public and International Affairs from York University in Toronto. She also holds an Executive Diploma in Cultural Diplomacy, International Relations and Global Governance from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy. In addition, she has earned the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation from the Risk and Insurance Management Society and the Global Risk Management Institute.
