Dr. Rose Joudi, Ph.D. (Psych.)
Dr. Rose Joudi is the Director for Gender Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at HelpAge Canada. She leads national efforts to promote the inclusion of older adults who are traditionally underserved, equity-denied, or face intersecting barriers related to gender, age, race, culture, or language. Her current work includes a Canada-wide research and policy initiative exploring how the Community-Based Seniors’ Services (CBSS) sector can advance older women’s economic prosperity and security.
Dr. Joudi’s expertise spans ethnocultural diversity, ageism, older adult mistreatment, and the development of culturally responsive systems of care.
Currently, Dr. Joudi serves on the Board of the Alberta Association on Gerontology (AAG), The City of Calgary’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee, and has held leadership roles with the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (CNPEA) and the Alberta Council on Aging (ACA), and on an Elder Abuse advisory committee with the Ministry of Assisted Living & Social Services in Alberta. Dr Joudi’s goal is to ensure that all people live with dignity, equity, and compassion.
