Louise Bélanger-Hardy

A lawyer by profession, Louise Bélanger-Hardy is a professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa, where she teaches health law and tort law. She is interested in the human rights of older persons and in intergenerational initiatives. She advocates for the adoption of an international convention on the rights of older adults, the aim of which will be to better protect aging individuals. She has served on several research ethics boards and worked as an adjudicator in Ontario's health professions regulatory regime. She is involved with the Canadian Coalition Against Ageism, and sits on the Board of Fondation Miroir Foundation, a non-profit organization funding projects that bring joy to older persons.
