Safiya Dina
Community Engagement Officer
Safiya Dina is a public health practitioner and holds a Master of Science in Global Health from McMaster University. Her areas of interest and expertise are in research, communications, and monitoring and evaluation, and she has worked with diverse populations, including international experience supporting reproductive healthcare initiatives in East Africa.
She currently works with both ILC Canada and HelpAge Canada as a Programs and Projects Lead. With experience in change management and communications across the technology and health sectors, Safiya brings a unique interdisciplinary approach to addressing global health challenges.
She looks forward to applying her academic knowledge in practical settings that advance equity and wellbeing across the life course. Safiya is passionate about strengthening health systems and fostering cross-sector collaborations that improve health outcomes for underserved communities.
