Simone Powell

Simone Powell brings over 32 years of experience in the field of public health and health care systems in both the government and non-government sectors, including the Public Health Agency of Canada, Health Canada, the Canadian Public Health Association, the World Health Organization and Perley Health. Nearly 30 of these years have focused specifically on promoting the health and quality of life of older adults.

Simone was Co-Chair of the Mental Health Theme Team of the National Initiative of the Care of the Elderly and is a member of the National Research Council’s Aging in Place Challenge Program Advisory Committee.

Simone holds Masters Degrees in Social Work and in Public Policy.
